Ok I just got off the phone with Joe. My wife’s company is going to help sponsor a fishing tournament for the club. Here is the date June 2nd Location will be Lee C&R and Glendale C&R. It will be in a poker run style format. Sense I have never seen this done before in fishing we are looking for some input from the members on how it should be run. This is the thought. We would have pre registration with the cost of $15. People would go out in groups of 2 or 3 to fish together, just to keep each other somewhat honest! We are fishermen and have been known to stretch the truth a bit. You would get a card for every fish you catch limit of 5 cards. Afterwards we will meet in Gt. Barrington 10 minutes from the Glendale section to have a barbeque with hamburgers and hotdogs see who has the best poker hand. Hand out trophies and prizes. Should make for a great day of fishing and get together for all. Just remember we want to make this simple and sweet. We don’t want too many rules that it isn’t fun anymore!!!!! Please give us your input so we can get this going and hopefully make it a annual event for the club.  I'm sure I missed a few things but it is all in my head at this point and nothing writen down yet. |

I think this is going to be a blast. Dean came up with this idea and it sounds like a good time.

Ok We will have two check in points one at the glendale turnout and the second in lee. I was thinking in the parking lot by the car wash but maybe it should be down by the truck stop what do you think? give me some input.............

The Go Fish Poker Run trifold and signup sheet, will be sent out this week to all Berkshire Fly Fishing members. If you are not a member send me a email (subject poker run) deanh@vgernet.net and i will send you a PDF file (400K) Joe is supposed to set it up on the site so you can signup online with paypal. I know he is busy with work! So I'm not sure when he will get to it. hint hint The signup sheet needs to be back to me by May 25th. Also we will be giving awards to all young Fly Fishers 12yrs of age and younger. Should be a great time! ;D So I hope a lot of you can come out and play Saturday June 2nd .......... |

Joe has setup the signup form on the main page along with the flyer. All club members should have thier flier in the mail by this weekend Monday the latst. Already have some signups in my hand so it should be a great gathering. Hope all can come out and join us  |

Mine came in the mail yesterday. My boss (me!) can be a real prick when it comes to calling in sick ;D I'm waiting for the gas prices to hit $4.00 then i'll start driving out to see you guy's every weekend  Do the leftover $$$'s go to a good cause? If they do I will sign up and if I can't make it I will let it be known in time to replace me with a kid over 12 who can use my spot |

By the way I thought the flyer looked good and its nice to see that the club is getting support other than from the usual guys. The only question I've got (even though I won't be there) do Smallies and Pike count? There in there too. |

well so far we have about 10 sign-ups and out of that 1 member. If you signed up online I haven't heard from joe on those. hope to have a few members. just ordered the trophies. ad will be in the shoppers guide and the penny saver next week. Will be at the glendale meeting place this saturday if you would like to sign-up then or if you have any questions.

Can't get out tomorrow but will be entering the tourney. I'll be fishing with two other members. We're just a bunch of slackers and haven't sent in our papers or $ yet. We'll get everything in within the next few days.

Just a reminder that this is the last week to sign-up I will be on vaction starting Saturday (Vegas) and won't be back until thursday right before the run. so any questions now is the time to ask. Get those sign-ups in. Ask Jim and Josh the trophy is great, We have a case of Cool Fish wine "great lable" also a few other prices and the Golden Boot award............. so I hope you all can make it.

The notice I received in the mail said that we could sign up and pay using paypal on the site. I've looked everywhere on here and can't find it! Can anyone point me in the right direction or should I just send a check in?

Okay- so I'm at the spot on the site where I'm supposed to register for the Poker Run through pay-pal. I click the button, and all I get is the generic pay-pal login page, with no indication of the Poker Run at all (unlike where you click to register for BCFF membership, where you are brought to a pay-pal site with specific information about BCFF and the fee). Am I doing something wrong? I want to register, but I can't figure it out.
