If anybody catches a big, fat brown in Lee with a stimulator stuck in its jaw, You win a special prize.
I caught the fish this morning and released it with the fly still attached. Because the hook would not come out easily and I did not want to stress the fish more than it already was I cut the tippet at the fly. It was a store-bought fly that I must have forgotten to pinch down the barb.
Either a picture or a reliable witness required to claim the prize.
See you at the barbeque.

Dan:
I can only speak for the Lee section. Right now it is quite low due to lack of rain. I fished it yesterday and was wading places that normally I would avoid. This also changes where you find fish. I don't think it so low or hot that they are in the refuges. Look for shaded, deeper spots. I generally fish a 10-foot 6-weight but anything from 71/2 up would work now.
Lots of small caddis and some larger mayflies. At the time you'll be fishing nymphs and emergers should work best.

Dean,
Great job on putting the event together. Everyone on my team had a blast. Great fishing, great cookout, cool tee-shirts, nice wine.
Getting to see Bruce get the "Golden Boot" award was priceless. It is the first time I've seen him take a spill in a looong time. I will not let him live it down!

"Pair of Queens Wins Event" I like to thank everyone for coming out! and the staff at Fairview Commons for putting on a great BBQ. Those hamburgers were huge and those cookies even bigger. it was awesome time.... things went a lot smoother then I thought possible for the first event. everyone caught fish which was a great concern of my wife. We will be putting one togther for next year. The winner not only had a great day on the water but Kevin got a pair of Queens to win the event. Bruce took the Golden Boot award for filling up his boots! I had all corners covered!!LOL you have to admit that was a great award. Fly Man Dan says hell next time hes going to jump right in. The Cool Fish wine what a great label for the event, not sure how it tastes but it looks good. had some great prizes but we should be able to put some good prizes together for next year, now that we have one under our belt. Charlie thanks for showing up for the BBQ putting on the Dealers hat, you know you can always get a job in Vegas. I will write more for the Newsletter. Thanks again everynone Dean

Dean:
I'm not sure how you pulled all of that together but you did a first-class, bang-up job. While I missed not fishing, I'm sure glad I could make the barbeque -- it was super.
The great strength of the organization is its ability to bring folks together and it was great to be able to sit, chat and enjoy the food with other BCFFers.
Again, my congratulations on a job well done.

I'm really sorry I could not participate. It sounded like a trully great time and I know how much work Dean and his wife put into this to make it a success. I will make sure I'm not out of town for the next event.
I'm most sorry for not being able to give Dean additional entertainment and big smiles by personally sacrificing myself by getting swept down the Housy. First hand, I know how much Dean enjoys the opportunity to throw his famous grapple hook attached to the 80' rope he carries around in his vest for such circumstances. I'm sure Dean will bail me out again in the near future...
I look forward to seeing some photo's of the event on the forum.
See everyone soon on the water.
JLIBS

As for a team, absolutely. We can put some big numbers on the board. I've seen you fish.

Joe, are you going to forget your corkers? 2 times? JLIBS I don't need korkers anymore.... I can walk on water ;D We have some nice kayaks at work that we would use too, Mark. They're pretty stable, they're made for standing in.
