Thanks to my personal eBay shopper/buyer, FlyManDan, I was able to pick up this 3" JW Young reel from the UK. It's likely from the 1920's or 1930's. I'll match it up with Cortland Sylk line in a #5 DT. I'm excited to use it this coming week. And Dan continues to offer guidance and direction in many areas of my life...

very nice. Is there a click and pawl drag on it, or is it purely palm control? What type of metal?

Also, is it depth rated for when you fall in?

My personal eBay shopper/buyer, FlyManDan can answer about the metal. It's click and pawl drag and no rim exposure for palming. -No depth guage either for when I swim with it... -Good question.
