i think i've lost it - and i know i'm losing more than my share of trout this year... for every 6 i get into - 2 are long line releases.... this hasn't been as common in years past........
my friends have me second guessing myself - could it be the barbless hooks? tight lines are my first impulse - but when i hook up on the swing and they still do the houdini - then i must look elsewhere....
btw - the millers is def "usual" country... gave 2 of my-tied usuals (orange not red ) to my friend - 2nd cast hookup.... me- 1st cast hookup - of course that was yesterday - today i had 2 total - both long line release.....

I use the Gamakatsu Retainer Bend for a barbless dry fly hook. It just won't let go. Mike D. battenkill.tripod.com

i'll google it for more details - thanks for the hint! it is the dry hook that gives me the problem - the wets, streamers and buggers are much less of a problem....
