Hey there My brother and I will be Turner's Falls in a week to take care of our Grandmother. (Grandad passed away earlier this year) Anyways I haven't been to Mass this time of the year. Last time we came was later in the season.
We'll be fishing the Deerfield river for at least 3 days! Is there any bug activity on the water yet? Anybody know what i should pack in my fly box? Thanks in advance for the tips. I'll return the favor if anybody comes out to california.

This is probably a little late.... but... Nymphs are working real good mornings and afternoons. The hatches have been small to medium. Make sure you have plenty of ant patterns, the flying ant hatches are sporadic and awesome.

Nymphs are working real good mornings and afternoons. Yep. My Dad's been hitting the Deerfield at about 4:30 - 5:00 in the morning, and killing them with nymphs....
