The South West VT chapter of TU has a few things cooking. Sat. 5/10 they are having a pancake breakfast at the Arlington Legion. www.tuswvt.org/Pancakes_2008.shtml As if pancakes weren't enough, here is one for the bamboo lovers. They are raffling a Leonard Duracane (Scottie blanks, impregnated like the Orvis rods) 7' 4wt, 2/2. Built in the early 70's this is an exquisite stick. I haven't cast it , yet, ;D but I sure would like to. NS cap and ring reel seat, green wraps. But wait, there is more, the winner also takes home a sweet little Orvis 123 reel w/ a #4 dt Orvis line. Rod, reel, and line have been fished but they have obviously been lovingly cared for. www.tuswvt.org/leonard_raffle_2008.shtml $10 a ticket and all the money goes into the Battenkill Habitat Restoration Project. Everything was donated so we are throwing every dollar into the river. If anyone is interested, shoot me a PM and we will figure out how to make it happen. AgMD
