Has anyone fished the flats on Monomoy Island...if so, where do you park and can you walk onto the Island....anything you can tell me about the access would be welcomed. I have read about the island itself. Thanks, foxden

I would do four things to research:
1. Post on a Saltwater fishing forum for the Cape and ask
2. Call a local tackle chop on the Cape near there and ask
3. Call Mass State Wildlife on the Cape and ask
4. Call On The Water fishing magazine on the Cape and ask to speak with the Editor and ask.

I used to be a commercial fisherman out of Chatham. The best way to get out to the flats is to go to oyster pond landing and hitch a ride out and back with a clammer. 50 bucks should do it...but make sure you get a ride back or you swimmin home!! I'm going to be doing quite a bit of this in may!!
