Stillwater River

Fished the Stillwater River on Monday. Just north of Worchester for anyone wondering where its at.

First 3 casts and I caught two beautiful brookies. WOW!

About 30 minutes later I caught a nice 18" rainbow. WOW!

I let them all go, so they are probably available to be caught again. I caught them all on a #16 blue wing olive dry fly.

Also, didn't see a soul where I was fishing, and the fish were jumping all around me.

Went back yesterday with a friend. Downstream from the spot I had great luck the other day found a large hole and proceeded to catch 6 Brookies and 1 rainbow in about 3 hours.

What a day!

My buddy did not have the same luck.
