got tight finally after more than a month with no hook-ups. met up with some friends and fished a small river in the wiscassit area of maine. we all had sucess (5 of us!!!) prince nymphs, green bh caddis nymphs and black woolies were the flies of choice. one of my friends had two fish on at once, the first time i've seen it live. i believe he had a prince dropped off another prince. seems unusual for that to happen in such cold temps. here's a brown i landed on a small (#14) black wooly bugger.

don't know if i'll be getting another chance like that real soon with the cold snap that's on us right now. icing is a bit too much of a hassle for me below 30 degrees let alone 6 degrees.

Great to see someone got out. Is the WB wighted? or do you use split with it? I have thought about tying them that small.

yep, if i don't bh my woolies i use lead wire to weight them, no split shot, don't really need it with sink tip.
