I've been looking at maps and was wondering, how's the Housatonic below Stockbridge, along Rte 183? Good access? Hatches? Fish??
Thanks Dana

Hatches each afternoon consistently. Fish take typical small nymphs dead drifted on bottom, then some surface action hitting emergers, but not dries, then some dries/skated caddis, then it turns off. Occassionally some surface hits with Comparadun patterns after skated and dead drifted caddis turns off.
Lots of Caddis (mostly very small #16), some May Flies (mostly very large #10-#12), Lots of tiny bugs flying around in swarms (Midges??? Size #22 and smaller).
The fish are there for the taking in the likely spots = seems, riffles of a walking pace, below white water (if you can get your fly down there), at Guido's/Supermarket (if you're Joe Overlock), etc.
