Water Temp: 62 degrees Flow: 120 cfs
I fished the flats with a nice trico hatch going on. I worked a pod of 4 fish for 3 hours and managed to fool one very small rainbow on a brassie dandelion emerger. There where a lot of fish rising all down the flats and they're getting pretty smart at this time of the year.
If you're looking to fish the Deerfield at this time of the year and want a good challenge, then fish the slower water where the trout get a good look at your fly. But if your looking to bend your rod, fish the faster waters and keep moving.
