Flow = 255cfs @ Charlemont USGS Gauge Water Temp = 45f Air Temp =52f Sunny, no clouds Time = 8am - 10:30am Catch = 1 - 12" Rainbow Rod = 6wt Bamboo Leader = 15' 4x Pattern = #16 Czeck Nymph It was an absolute buitiful day to be on the Deerfield. The water was low and there was a small mayfly hatch starting, around size #22-#24. I missed one on a Bunny Hair leetch and later switched to a Czech Nymph on a 15' leader. I was using a 6wt Bamboo rod that Kim (AgMD) had restored and is letting me borrow. I havn't told him yet that he's not getting it back What a great rod, I landed a 12" Rainbow on that Czeck Nymph. The take was very suttle and if I was using my graphite rod I wouldn't of even felt it to set the hook.
