Jim Maselli guided me to hook into and land my first ever steelhead this past weekend. It was an excellent experience that all flyfishers should try. Thanks, Jim!!! Our first day, we started on the Salmon River in Altmar and Pulaski, NY and had little luck. The terrential rains blew the river out from 1000 cfs to 2500 cfs and then to 3600 cfs in a day = dangerous flood stages. Despite these conditions, Jim managed to land a nice rainbow on an egg pattern. The second day, we did some hard-core exploring on the little streams and creeks in the area. I am pleased to say I sight casted to my first steelhead in 8" of water in about a dozen casts and 3 flies. I changed from a wooly bugger to an egg pattern to a traditional stone fly. When I first hooked up and had the fish on with the stone fly, I was alone after fishing for about 2-hours solo while Jim explored some other areas. I was amazed and psyched to coincidentally see Jim walking towards me with the net a few hundred yards down the bank. Great timing, Jim! -JLIBS

Dear CTROY,
The rod tastes like mercury and PCB's.
Best regards, JLIBS
