The river was high all weekend, 1,800 cfs water release. We started out at Ellis Cove Saturday morning and didn't see any fish at all. From there we worked over the lower fly zone and got into some kings. I landed one and lost 4, Josh landed 2 I think. After Josh played one of the Coho's for a while I had to jump in the river and tail it for him. I said "Josh, hold it like this" So he held it like this and then finally got it right Later in the day we hooked up with Jeremy Garnish and he put me on my first Steelhead ever. Me fighting it Jeremy and Josh laughing at me and I finally landed him and got it to stand still We kept fishing that spot and Jeremy lost a nice steelhead along with a few nice browns Sunday morning greeted us with overcast skys and light rain. Bill Davis joined us and we had a great time. I hate fishing in the rain, but it was well worth it. After we lost a few Kings in the upper fly zone I landed the fish of a lifetime. A 30 inch Brown!!!! Here's Bill Davis and me with the fish ...and he lived to fight another day...

That fish broke me. I landed a 18"er on the Deerfield last week and couldn't help thinking "Man this guy is small"
