I was going over this upcomming years shedule of events and I noticed that the October meeting is for bamboo rods. An excellent idea to have a meeting for bamboo, but if possible could this be rescheduled earlier in the year, some time when we might have enough evening light to be able to do some lawn casting. As much as I like looking at bamboo, and I do, casting line is where a rod comes alive. One of the things that make bamboo interesting, is the different way different rods cast, or the way the same rod will cast with different line. Also might be a good chance for graphite and glass wavers to try out a few bamboo rods and see if there really is anything to all this bamboo foolishness or whether those bamboo folks really are just a bunch of wack-os. Just down the street from the Waterstreet Grill is Linear Park, and I am shure that we could find a bit of open lawn to play arround on. Heck, there is even a big pool that could be cast in for folks who would like to wade. I raise this with some trepidation since I take it as a given that the folks who have scheduled these meetings have clearly put quite a bit of thought and work into producing an excellent yearlong program. The last thing I want to do is to start messing up someones hard work. AgMD " teach a man to fish and he will buy an ugly hat" Dogbert

Kim,
Member feed back is always 100% welcome. I would love to get the chance to cast different Bamboo rods to see how they feel. I'll sit down with the schedule this weekend and see what I can move around. We can also talk about it more Friday night.
