Someone recently asked that even people who live outsite the area make reports so here is one.
Excellent Smallmouth outing last Sunday. Caught at least 2 dozen fish with 4 being in the 14-16" range and 2 that were 17"+.
All caught on a #6, white Madonna.
The swing was the thing except for two that hit the fly just as it smacked the water.
All caught on an excellent Smallmouth fishery called the Fox River in Algonquin, Il.

Good One Joe...
The Madonna is a streamer pattern that incorporates a gold and silver sparkle braid body, a rabbit strip for a wing, a few pieces of crystal flash or similar material and a spun deer head with a collar in the color to match the wing color.
