cruised over to mtzone's shop (clearwater fly shop) to hang out and tie a bit. stephen taught me how to tie a deceiver and this is my first one. this is a BIGGO fly. fun to tie and she's going to score me some monster stripahs this summuh ;D

Look's like he has a good selection of tying material also! I think I see atleast 5 differnt brands of head cement in the background along with a good cape selection! Orvis didn't have a selection like that at their flagship store when I was up there the other day. I should of drove to NH! Does he have porcupine quils?

stephen has a great selection... you can get some other ideas of inventory from the background in the photos from this thread; clearwaterflysh.14.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=2132tying supplies bring him a good deal of business in the "off" season so he's well stocked. you'll have to ask him about the quills, i don't recall. he can do orders over the phone i think as well and it shouldn't take long to get stuff since it's not very far away. drop him a line.

Man, if that wasn't a 4 hour drive I'd pop up there for one of those tying sessions.

i hear you on the four hour drive... but if you're ever in that neck of the woods there's usually someone in there "tying one on". i think i'm going to try to get over there this sunday as well, it's only an hour drive for me
