Tying up a bunch of Madonnas and dressed everything but the dear hair collars/heads. I spun the heads and when I started trimming the hair, it was like me and the vise were a magnet for the deer hair. My son came in and started laughing at me.
All the hair that I trimmed off started sticking to me and the vise/backer plate instead of dropping into the waste bag. The dry air made for quite a mess. I've never had this happen before. I went down and turned up the humidifiers on the furnaces.
Keep the vacuum handy when spinning hair in the Winter.

my wife; "joshua!!! why is there green stuff stuck to the baby!!!"
me; "i was trying to teach isaac to tie chartruese and white clouser's"
my wife; "what the heck is a clouser and why is it stuck to the baby?"
me; "it's something nice for mother's day" ;D ;D ;D

Try putting one of those anti-static clothes dryer sheets in the bag with the hair. Putting one in the powder bottle in my shotshell reloader stops the powder from getting full of static and screwing up the powder-drop weight.

That's a good tip, you should send that one into Fly Tyer or Field & Stream.

I know about using the dryer sheets but you don't use them on the hair directly. You run them through your stacker tube insert so the hair doesn't stick to the tube.

That's the stuff that keep your pants from sticking to your socks in the Winter.
I'd be a bit cautious about spraying anything like that on the metal of the vise. You don't know how it would react.
You are always going to have static problems when spinning hair but mine was pretty unusual. I was using a double edged razor to begin shaping the head and with every pass the cuts would jump about 6" and stick to my profile plate. I was actually pretty cool to watch.

You need to have your vice and tool properly bonded to a grounding conductor.

...or have your tying bench, desk, what have you, on one of those discharge mats that they have in semiconductor/electronics labs. probably a pricey solution though... ;D
