I haven't tried much winter fishing and knew I couldn't make it to the meeting. So I was wondering how it went, what was covered... that sort of thing.
I was going to give winter fishing a shot maybe this weekend or next. Just depends on the weather.
Anyway, just wondering what everyone else was doing to take care of that ff itch..... um.... you might want to keep your itches to yourself now that I think of it ;D

Hi Gregg,
Joe mentioned he will be sending out a very brief recap of the meeting with a couple of tips.
Try using a flashy high calorie looking fly to entice a cold trout to move. Fish your offering slowly and feel for very subtle takes. Often, you might have to cover the same drift several times before a fish hits.
Good luck, JLIBS

It was really good. We had a few tips about keeping warm, I did a brief demonstration on how to make a knot less leader to fly line connection (to keep the ice from building up) and we told fishing stories.
