Dana:
The only adjustment I would make is to pull the wings back and tie them in so the bottom edge lies along the body/thorax. You have almost tied a Shane Stalcup style spinner pattern using his Medallion Sheeting for the wings.
The pattern calls for the wings to be laid back along the body unless you are tying is "spent" style, and then they are trimmed vertically along the rear edge while slightly "rounding" the top rear point.
With the wings upright like you have them that fly is going to "propeller" like some of the Catskill patterns do and you'll spend most of your time taking the twists/loops out of your tippet.
Overall it is a nice tie!

Mark, I got the idea of using the Medallion wing from Shane Stalcup's book, "Mayflies Top to Bottiom." The wings are not upright or fully spent, but halfway between.
Yes, it will propeller some, but this style of fly is for use on rising fish that you have already located, so you're not making a lot of casts and 'searching.' That's best done with a wound and flattened hackle wing.
Dana
PS I also tie upright wings with the Medallion, works like a charm during a hatch. Will post pix, stay tuned. PPS I'm still learning to use the new digital camera, so the flies may look a bit distorted.
