WOW! I left my car at the airport this weekend and someone stole four of the five lugnuts on my front left tire. I drove home fine, and to a "Who" concert on sunday night without knowing that the lugnuts were missing. But was driving last night and my car starting making some noises . And all of the sudden my tire went FLYING OFF MY CAR. Blue sparks everywhere as i brought my car to a stop on the rotor. HAHAHAHAHHA! It was the craziest thing that has ever happened to me in my car. I was laughing so hard. It happened really close to my house and i was driving really slow. I was really lucky this didn't happen to me on the Highway though. I'll get some pics of my car. d**n!

C'mon guys, it was Joe who was late with his flies- not Andy's fault. Joe better check his tires when he leaves the meeting tomorrow night.

I know you laughed about it but thank God you weren't hurt.
Like you said, can you imagine if the wheel came off when you were driving fast...!!!
Hope you get things back together quickly and it doesn't cost you too much.
Best Regards,
Mark

a friend of mine did that to himself with his '65 mustang (forgot to tighten the lugnuts when he changed wheels). luckily the studs were long enough and he was going slow enough that once the car started jerking violently he pulled over... suffered some bent lugs but luckily nothing worse. good that you pulled through with no injuries as well, stuff like that can scare the crap right out of you

It's good that you can laugh about it, I would of lost my cool. Thank God you weren't on the highway! We had a close one with a shop van about 4 years ago, the rear axel broke on the highway and the whole assembly came out. The van was overloaded and old. Two bad combinations.

I must say i have an awesome Mechanic. Total damage cost me 300$. I don't let myself get upset over that because those are just things that Happen, and theres nothing you can do about it. So i just don't let it bother me.
I can't believe it was only 300$ though..... Helluva good mechanic......

can't knock the conclusion to that story... no one hurt and a (relatively) inexpensive fix. that works!
