Just want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas & Happy New Years. May the next year bring everyone what they want (be reasonable ;D), except for Joe & his wife. May they continue to have the BEST year of their lives . Joe enjoy the peace & quiet, and make a mental note of what it sounds like. Because next year all bets will be off ;D

Take some pictures. We don't have any Lamprey pics on the site yet, you could be the first! Do you get them on the fly rod?

Joe The Lamprey River! I'll be fishing it in Newmarket, NH. Well that makes more sence! I was trying to imagine a reason why you would want to fish for those parasites. ;D Hmm... Lamprey on a fly rod though.... I'm seeing a new book here!

Your to funny Joe. The Lamprey is stocked on 10/15 by the Great Bay Chapter of TU for winter fishing. FF & CR only! They didn't get a lot of donations this year so the number of fish is down. NH closes on 10/15 except for a few places. I paid $58 for my license and only made it once so far So after today it will only be $29 per outing . It's a nice So. NH river, but it gets a ton of pressure. I'll be down the street from UNH.

Joe Boy was the Lamprey crowded I ended up netting 1 Rainbow and I lost what looked like a nice Brown before it was close enough to tell for sure. Before I had it on a good size fish that looked brown/gold made a huge splash when it surfaced to wack my indicator. It was just after that that I hooked my brown (?) in the same location as the splash. They were saying that there were a bunch of brood stock browns put in a couple of Weeks ago. All in all it was a nice time for my first time on new water. Hope you had a great day.
