So Berkshireites, how’s the corn on the cob this year?
Personally, I’m a Chenial’s man, fresh from the farmstand up on Luce Road in Williamstown…. Had it a few times so far this year, and in the beginning it was hit or miss (seemed to be a little early at times – maybe when they got into certain parts of the field), but now that we’re deep into the season, it’s been d**n good!
Haven’t had Racine’s yet this year, but they’re usually pretty good. Does Harvey’s up in Clarksburg still have corn?
And, in the last few years I haven’t been able to find Silver Queen anywhere. It’s my all-time favorite corn on the cob, and only around for a very short time late in the season. But, it seems that everyone wants Butter & Sugar, so that’s what the farms are planting almost exclusively.

I had corn from three places this weekend. First I found what looked to be silver queen in Stop & Shop of all places.... It was actually pretty good. Then I had some sugar&butter from Racine's and Whitney's farm stand in Cheshire. All was good.

Noble's, down the road from my place, had Silver Queen last week. Their stuff is usually good as is Partridge Road Farm's.
That's probably no help for you North Country guys unless you happen to be at the Mall, which is right across the road from Partridge Road.

I just had Chenial’s tonight. I give it a 7 out of 10 so far this year.

A hidden gem in Lee is Carringtons stand on East Street. They do both butter and sugar, and silver queen.
