The Housy is fishing great with caddis hatches (#14-18 green or tan body, brown/gray wing) during the days and great spinnerfalls in the evening (#12-14 Rusty Spinner, # 16-20 Blue Winged Olive Spinner)
Get out there and give it a try, I'm sure you'll enjoy the river.

Light Cahills and Grey Foxes (Size 12-14) are hatching right now every afternoon and evening. Fishing has been very good!

Daytime trout fishing has slowed down somewhat with the recent hot weather, but the early mornings and Evenings have been spectacular! Sulfurs, Cahills, Green and Brown Drakes, Coffin Fly Spinners and BWO's are on the water at various times.
Small stream brookie fishing has been great, too, but the mosquitoes are murder! They were biting my eyelids, lips and nostrils. Have to remember my 100% DEET spray and a good stinky cigar next time. It's not a sport for those with a delicate disposition, but the rewards can be great: Beautiful wild brook trout and not a soul around. I usually return home exhausted, covered in bites and thorn scratches but with a smile on my face and some nice pics in the digital camera.
