Check out the article by Frank McKane in the latest (May 2008) issue of New England Game and Fish.
It bills the Hoosic River right here in Berkshire County as one of "New England's Top 12 May T :Drout Streams"

Congrats ;D, but as they say..."There goes the neighborhood"... With guys like Joe already there, I'd say the neighborhood has been gone for awhile ;D

This guy obviously has never fished this sterile and featureless stream and it is VERY clear that he does in fact live in a cave because he hasn't heard about the major fish kill that destroyed what little fishing we had left.
Maybe someday the Hoosic will be fish-able, I'm sure my Great-Grand-kids will be able to enjoy that river. I just thank God that we live so close to 3 of the greatest trout streams in the world, the Battenkill, Deerfield, and Housatonic.
Btw, did I mention that I landed 12 trout on the Deerfield last night and they where all over 22 inches? If I told you how big the largest one was you would all call me a lire!
