Heading to Wisconsin to chase some Steel tomorrow.
I'll post a report when I get back.
With all the precip letting up, the flows have finally come down. I hope to find a ton of fished that moved in during the raging torrents.
I know its going to be crowded but I know some sweet spots further downstream. Most of the guys around here are lazy and don't want to hoof in.

Good luck on your trip!
We fished the Salmon River Tuesday and Wednesday for steelhead. Tuesday was a bust but Wednesday was fantastic. My buddy and I landed a bunch of stellhead all in the 5-8lb range.

Went 2 for 3 on Steelhead. 1 28" and one nice buck at 34". Man I had to work for these fish. The fly had to be right on their nose. Water was up and stained. No sight fishing possible except if you happen to be looking at a spot where a fish would fin or come up to fill his air bladder. Were supposed to be 2-3 1/2" of rain in the next 2-3 days. Forget about getting out any time soon. Mark

Nice catches/reports. My son and I were on the Salmon for a few hours on Sunday and we got blanked. Water was rolling as it is most everywhere around here right now.
