I just got a copy of the April 2008 issue. I've never read it before (not much into hunting), but this is a flyfishing only issue. The cover art is worth the price. It is pretty amazing- especially the back cover. It Certainly stands out on the magazine rack next to all the hero shots on the covers.

I'm a longtime subscriber to Gray's and think that it's one of the bast sporting magazines out there. Throughout the year the issues are filled with both fishing and hunting topics, but of a much more literary bent then you typically see in the hook and bullet press.
The issue you bought is the "Fly Fishing Edition" that comes out every spring dedicated to fly fishing. It used to be termed "Book" instead of "Edition."
There's another issue in the fall that's the "Bird Hunting Book" that is dedicated to wingshooting. The "Fly Fishing Book" and "Bird Hunting Book" are the two I avidly wait for every year out of the total subscription.

Jeff:
Thanks for the tip. Went to one of the local bookstores this morning and found a copy in the mazine section and bought it.
I often looks at the magazine when I find it in a bookstore but seldom spend the $7.00. This issue is an exception and looks like a good one to own.
