Hi Everyone,
I have just accepted the Club Manager position at the Wahconah Country Club. To have a trout river going through the property seemed like a no brainer for me. If anyone is interested in fishing that part of the river with me for a few hours before of after work let me know. I've also been told that there is a brook that runs into the river from the golf course that has native brookies. I will probably start fishing the end of April beginning of May.
I hope everyone is getting alot of tying in.

Congratulations on the new job. I drive by there on the way to/from work several times a week. I have fished upstream from Wahconah along Rt 8 closer to Hinsdale, but never down by the club. I'll be in touch.

Hello HSWEREN,
Thanks for the generous offer, and congrats on the new position. I'd be excited to get out on the water with you and try a new section of river. let's talk at the next BCFF meeting/gues tspeaker on Feb 26th.
As for fishing with JSKOWRON, who posted before me, I'd suggest only fishing with him if he promises to any fly other than a size 12 elk hair caddis.
Regardless of weather, species, water levels and temps, time of year, etc. JSKOWRON only uses his one fly despite having an arsenault of flys in his vest! We don't want him to "muddy" the water for us as he often does...
I look forward to fishing in the slightly warmer weather with you.
JLIBS

I've switched to a size 14 EHC. I can fit more of them on my drying patch.

I look forward to meeting all of you on Tuesday night. I use the #14 elk hair caddis quite a bit on the Conn. River in Pittsburg NH. It always seems to do the trick.

A #14 EHC is one of the best "searching" patterns you can present.

This sound like fun. I'm in. By the way, I'm the world's worst golfer.

You can gig some nice, big frogs around the water hazards of golf courses at night using a flashlight and a homemade frog gig (don't ask me how I know that ). Mmmmm...frog's legs!
