Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner buddy, I didn't see that you responded.

This is no BS. I've gotten emails from Feather-Craft, The Fly Shop out of Redding, Ca. and my friend Bob @ Easy Flyfisher. Apparently, its as good as they say it is.

The concept seems to make sense, less line suface area in contact with the guides = more line to shoot and longer casts.

Very pricey though...

I fished the new Sharkskin line in WF4F on a Sage 490-4 XP and lawn cast the line with a 486 XP.

It works as advertized, very high floating for easy pick-up, mends very easily with the new textured surface, it makes reach casts and aerial mends very nicely. I fished it with emergers, nymphs with splitshot on the leader and streamers. When the tip sinks due to dirt and water logged leader butt, a quick wipe with paper towel and it floats for another hour.

Is the line worth $100,,,,well if it has 3x the life expectancy of standard premium lines (presently $65 retail),,, for me,,,,yes the line is worth the price.

I absolutely hate my 4 weight fly line, and when i use the word hate, i mean HATE. This line sucksss bigtime, I think its the orvis easy mend. For one thing it doesn't freakin float. I have such a hard time fishing dries because of that. I find myself nyphing alot because of that line.

I guess what i'm getting at is would you reccomend this line as a replacement to what i have now?

If you have a double taper line, flip it around. One of the nice things about DT.

I would recommend the SA Mastery series WF "Trout Taper" for your 4 wt. Get it in the "Camo Green" color instead of the chartreuse.

$59.99 retail.

If you keep it clean and don't beat it up too bad it will last for several seasons.

Thanks Mark. That's some clutch advice camo would be much better where i fish with that rod.

I'll give that line a try for next season.
