Benefits of Large Woody Debris in Trout Streams

Come join fellow fly fishers for this very informative presentation. Dana Ohman received a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Science from Otterbein College in Ohio where she conducted research on brook trout habitat restoration. Following her undergraduate career, she continued working on trout streams with the Green Mountain National Forest in Vermont. Dana then pursued her Master of Science degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Conservation at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst where she conducted research on fish communities and large woody debris in coldwater streams. After completing her master's degree, Dana continued in the ecological field where she worked with a consulting firm in Ohio. This past November, Dana recently accepted the position of aquatic biologist for Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife in the Western District.
