As you may or may not know, Mass Wildlife is attempting to restore Atlantic Salmon to the Connecticut River and it's tribs. Every year they look for volunteers to help stock salmon fry. It might be a nice club activity, followed up with some fishing. More information and the schedule can be found at www.mass.gov/dfwele/dfw/dfwstksl.htm

I have good intentions about doing this every year. If anyone wants to put a group together and represent the BCFF just let me know.

I would consider meeting some BCFF members to volunteer on 14 April, Saturday Munn Brook, Dickenson Brook Meet at: Westfield State College, Westfield
I have never done this before and I don't really know Westfield, but I know how to get off exit 3 on Rt 90. If you're interested, please post and we'll link up for this.

I have never done this either, but would love to! I live in Westfield and can get directions to anyone who needs it. April 14th would be the best day of the week for me, so count me in -Gregg

Jlibs:
I'll be back from Florida by then. I know where Westfield State is and there's a parking spot across from the truck stop on Rt. 102 where I could pick you up. Lots of folks who car pool on the Turnpike use the parking spot. it's better than the Friendly's or Dunkin Donuts lot.
If I take my truck we also could squeeze a couple of folks in the jump seats.
let me know if that works.

Hello CTROY,
It will be good to see you soon. That plan sounds good to me as long as my work schedule/travel doesn't change last minute. Let's talk as we get closer, but as of now, it's a plan.
Who else would like to join us?

I'm in for the 14th. Not sure how long it takes for the fry stocking, , but anyone want to do some fishing afterwards? (probably a dumb question!)

Might as well fish too. Where would you suggest?

I would suggest hitting one of the branches of the Westfield. I like the east branch, and it gets you berkshire guys half way home. I'm more than happy to "guide" (e.g. show you where to park!).

Count me in (assuming I don't have to be on the road for work).

Jeff:
Actually, showing us a parking place is pretty generous. Most of the places where I fish, it's a lot easier finding fish than finding a place to park.

Dragonma15 (Gregg)
I look forward to meeting you tomorrow. Hope you can join us for some fishing afterwards. The plan is to head up to the East Branch of the Westfield at Chesterfield Gorge. I was just there checking things out and the water looks good.
