At the recent boo night the subject of the history of different bamboo rod makers came up. I recommend this site as currently the most extensive collection of bamboo histories.
I particularly recommend the "crackerbarrel" segments, The histories of various bamboo makers, ( on the right side of the page) and for Orvis Boo owners, "Greg Reynolds Orvis Database".
