I flyfish for trout in the Westfield from time to time its approximately five minutes from my house. Travel to other areas as well Swift, Deerfield,Farmington and some of the local lakes and ponds Otis Res, Colebrook,Congamond, list can go on and on.
I've tried for Stripers on the Fly in the Ct. River but I am a much more successful fisherman with my conventional tackle. Thats where I spend pretty much my entire spring, early summer on the Ct. chasing schoolies to the thirty plus inch fish.
I have been fishing pretty much my entire life with a great portion of it being here in Massachusetts. But I if I get the opportunity to travel out of state/country I'll go.
