Just a quick reminder, the public hearing on the proposed stocking of the Battenkill, will be Thurs night 7:00 at Burr & Burton , Manchester Vt. This is a real chance to have a positive impact on the management of our sport and to preserve a a magnificent wild fishery for our children. AgMD

Yup! Here's what SWVT TU's Secretary was telling me about the meeting: Thursday's meeting went pretty well. We got our message across -- total showing was maybe a hundred to 150 people, and we easily had a 5 to 1 advantage in numbers of those favoring keeping it wild vs those supporting stocking as a component of the BK fishery management plan. And this is what the Bennington Banner printed: berkshireflyfishing.blogspot.com/2006/09/anglers-voices-are-heard-on-battenkill.html
