The American Museum of Fly Fishing, in Manchester Vt., right next to the Orvis store, is having a grand opening festival Sat. June 11,2005 10 AM to 4PM. The AMFF is a just wonderful place, chock-a-block full of fly fishing history, reels, flies, and rods ( particularly bamboo ). The new building is beautiful, the displays even better. If you can make the grand opening you should, if you can't, you should check out the museum at a later date. If you like flyfishing, you will like the AMFF. AgMD

Interesting....
I visited the new Museum next to Orvis some months ago. Guess there's a bit of a delay from the time of the actual opening to the "grand" opening. ;D
The exhibit is quite small (I thought), but they do have quite a book collection. The "gift shop" is nice as well, with artwork, knick-knacks, and a great selection of new and used fly fishing books for sale.
