As I've posted, I'll be in town late next week and weekend and have always wanted to fish this river.
Anybody available, that knows the river well, that would be willing to show me around and get us into some fish?
I'm wading and I'm not on any kind of schedule.
Thanks in advance.

Mark:
I fish the Lee section regularly and would be happy to show you around. Let me know what your schedule is like and I'll see if we can find a time that works for both of us.

ctroy36:
Thanks so much for the offer. I don't know what the weather holds, but considering its a tail water we should be minimally impacted by any rains.
Are you available on Friday? I'm thinking it will be less crowded during the week. If not, Saturday or Sunday will work. Whatever is convenient for you is good for me. I just appreciate your generosity.
Please feel free to email my personal email:
fishes-with-fly@comcast.net
with when you can make it and your phone number so I can call you to confirm after we are set.
Thanks again!

waterdata.usgs.gov/usa/nwis/uv?site_no=01197500Here is the USGS site for the Housatonic. It is at 620 CFS now and I would consider that high but fishable. Bring a wading staff and be careful. The Housatonic is not a tail water and is very susceptible to rapid rising with thunderstorms, witness the graph after the storm last night. Provided we don't get significant rain I would suspect the water levels should be good by the weekend. The forecast calls for thunderstorms the rest of the week, hopefully we will get enough rain to keep the water cool and not enough to cause it to get much higher.
