Im more convinced than ever that the state has stocked the C&R section of the Housatonic in Lee with rainbows. Caught two today that were too big, 12-14 inches to have come from one of the tribs. (See my report in Housatonic Fishing Section).
The deal in setting up the C&R sections was that they would be stocked with browns, which would hang around and could tolerate the warmer summer temps. If they are indeed stocking rainbows, which will soon take off for parts unknown, fishing there this summer won't be so hot.
Somebody should check with the state and find out what's up.

You may be right. But they will put those bigger bows in the tribs too.
Have no worries. Housy has enough browns already to keep the good fishing going...

I caught a rainbow and a nice smallie this past week at the Housatonic Housy River C&R section too.
Gene said his fried caught some bows there too.

Yes, the State did stock rainbows in the Housy, I saw them do it! Last year at this time there was twice the amount of trout in the C&R area, mostly browns.
