I have been out a handful of times over the last couple of weeks and have not seen other vehicles pulled over to fish. Mostly been hitting the Upper Westfield because is running a lot colder then the lower sections. Would like to start to get better acquainted with the Hoosy.
How have all my old friends been that are still around?

I've been out a few times myself. Several trips to the EB starting at the gorge. I generally fish the Housi, though this year with the rains, that river gets blown out quickly, & very slowly recedes. It seems by the time it comes back down to wading conditions, another 3"- 4" of rain comes & we start all over.
So the EB, has been my destination. I don't know that river well (I'll use that as my excuse) so the fly fishing has been slow.
Good luck & tight-lines...........Phil

I also haven't been out as much as I would like. Responsibilities and circumstances can really screw things up sometimes. My major "fishing" accomplishment has been serving as a TU volunteer casting instructor at the Orvis Trout 101 classes. Each student gets a one year membership in TU which I understand is the single most successful recruitment program TU has. So it seems only fair that us TU members do what we can to make the program a success. Besides it is just an enormous amount of fun and I have learned a lot which has improved my own casting. I still make the same mistakes but now I know what I am doing wrong. The season is still young yet and fall fishing can be some of the best of the season so don't give up yet. AgMD

Actually, my most favorite time to fly fish is autumn. Hopefully more free time will also come my way............Phil
