I just got this in on one of my news feeds. Has anyone fished this event before? It sounds wicked fun!

Wicked fun? Fly Fishing tournaments are an abomination and an anathema to the sole of the pastime.

I'm just a sports guy, I like competitions. Right now I'm watching the Red Sox loose to the Yankees in pre-season baseball. No, wait... home run from Pena, now it's tied 2-2, top of the 4th.

I can't wait to see Johnny Damon come back to Fenway and get booed.

I'm thinking about entering that 2-fly competition. If I win I'll dedicate the victory to you, Shaun

There's usually a one fly contest on the Deerfield each year.

Fiyfishing tournaments are not what flyfishing is about leave that stuff for the Bassmasters! and dumb TV.shows and people like Cause! from In search of flywaters he is a knowitall to. I know him! fished the buffalo ford with him several times. The first time I met him he walked out rite in front of me on shore then had the nerve to tell me to move I was picking his back pocket. Probably cause I was catching and he was just fishing! ;D
