I finally had to pull the waders out last weekend. The cold nights we have been having have really cooled down the water and I think the trout are starting to become active again. I had a bit of success on the Green drifting some nymphs. I Checked under some stream rocks to find loads of mayfly nymphs still - mostly in the 14-18 size.

I've been out twice this month showing my son the fly fishing in's/outs's & have had my breathables, and I'm thinking its getting a little cool to keep using. But to each their own. In another month or so, I'll be using a neoprene's. Anyway, I'm happy your out there wetting a line locally...........Phil

I wear breathables year round. A pair do polar fleece pants or Under Armor thermal liners underneath are great. Neoprene don't let moisture out and make you colder.

I either wade wet or I wear Neoprene. This is not by choice but that's all I've got!

But most of my fly fishing takes place on the Housatonic river. Great fishing, though I wouldn't wet wade on that river with the fears of PCB's & skin exposure. But that just me.
