Hello Fellas! Sorry I don't get on here as often as I used to but I thought I would drop in and give you an excellent resource for entomology, bug ID and a site that you can reference for tying any specific species.
A friend of mine started this site several years ago while he was working on his PhD in Entomology. He has since completed it (I refuse to call him Doctor 😊) and the result is without a doubt, the BEST resource on the Internet for Entomology.
Troutnut.com is the place. Some of you may have heard of it or are even using it. The photography is stunning and the level of detail is what one would expect for a PhD dissertation.
Please drop by and at least give it a look. I'm sorry but the world of Ento can get very confusing with the use of Latin in naming the species, sub-species, etc... but Dave has also listed the "common" names with each variation, e.g. Hendrickson, Little Black Caddis, Early Black Stonefly, etc.
Enjoy!
Mark
