Last summer Fred Moran gave a number of talks at Bascom Lodge on
Greylock. One was on the history of the bamboo fly rod. Fred was a
student of Francis "Digger" DeGere and may have made a few himself. I
know that for many years he had a classified in many of the fishing
mags. offering bamboo repair service. It would be really neat if we
could get him to do a talk or presentation. What do you folks think? I
would assume that Fred would ordinarily get some sort of honorarium or
fee, or at least he probably did at the Bascom events. If this sounds
interesting I will be happy to see if I can put it together.

Hi Kim,
That sounds great. The hall can accommodate a good size crowd. I would like to hear Fred speak.
We could also invite the Taconic Chapter of TU and any other TU chapters that are near. I have any Sunday from Feb. 17th thru March 24th available.
