I just purchased a new 3wt fly rod . I was in the market for a medium action 7'6" 3wt, which ended up working out great for me. I bought a Redington CT (classic trout) model. I haven't tried it, but for $80.00 bucks marked down from $149.00 so the price was right? I own several other Redington Model rods in various lengths and weights, and have been for the most part pleased with my other Redingtons, so time will tell. Hopefully we'll get a little rain (which is predicted) as well as a few decent fall days, and I'll give it a try or two......Phil

I might give this new rod a try over the next couple days? For me, I did find some new trout water with in my travels ;D. I counted several brookies in the shadows . The Stream maybe a little close quarters for this new rod, though my father has a Cabelas 7' 1wt that has not seen water yet, that would be perfect for close quarter brookies. I promised him I'd make that little 1wt see some water by this seasons end. But so far I haven't been out much over this summer, so I'm coming up short on that promise . But we'll see.

I love the light rods. My favorite is a Loomis Streamdance Metolious 7"6", 3 wt. and will land a dry fly like a milkweed seed. Use a roll pickup and the fish don't know I'm there.
