I have noticed that on any given day, this web site will get as many as 80 or so visits by "guests". I suspect that many of you are actually non members. Let me be the first to welcome you to our little board. Everyone is always welcome to stop in and take a peek at our view of fly fishing in the Berkshires. Let me also invite you to join us. If you are interested in what we have to say, you probably have something worthwhile to say yourself. Outside of this board, we are not a very organized group. And we seem to like it that way. Currently we don't do a lot of meetings and events. I don't think we have any officers or leaders of any kind. A few times a year someone will propose that we meet at some time and place and those who can show up, do show up. These gatherings are just excuses to fish or drink beer and talk fishing. Pretty low key and enjoyable. Most of our activity is on the board and if you have been a guest you know all about that. This is a nice place. No flaming, just fishing. You don't need to live in or even near the Berkshires. You needn't even have ever fished in the Berkshires. An interest in fly fishing seems to be the only requirement. Join us. AgMD

Hi kim,
Happy New Year, I am sure that alot of the guests are actually members that do not log in. I know that I am guilty of this practice. When I pull the page up from my favorites and don't see any new posts that I am interested in replying to I do not log in.
I would like to have another get together sometime this winter, maybe do a fly tying day on a Sunday at Wahconah sometime in February.

HAPPY NEW YEAR Henry and Phil, I figured that at least some of the visits were from members but given that there are only six or so "active " members and that today we had 90 visits -- well, you do the math. A get together -- excellent idea! Fly tying, lie swapping, etc. I am all for it. Name a time and if the weather permits, I am there! Are you folks familiar with " Guys, Flies and Pies" ? An annual mid winter event in Rochester NY that started out as a few guys getting together and blossomed into a MAJOR event. Give it a Google. My own fly tying is pretty basic and driven by need rather than enjoyment, but there are a few patterns that I can tie without embarrassing myself too bad. I have an extra Thompson "A" vise , and lots of fixin's I could share for someone who wanted to try it out. Let's do it! Kim
