Just joined, I live near Boston but head out to the hills frequently. If anyone builds bamboo rods, say hello. I just posted in the bamboo forums but it doesn't look like they get much activity.

Hey--- welcome aboard. Dan and Jim are two infrequent members who have crafted a cane stick from scratch, and very nice work by both of them.
I fish bamboo but have limited my handiwork to rebuilding or restoring bamboo.
Quite a few of our members live outside the Berkshires but all share an appreciation for it's fishing. I now live in VT but lived in Ashland 30+ years ago.
Next summer I am planning on a lot less rain and a lot more fishin'. When you are going to be out this way, post something and a few of the guys just might meet you on stream.
