A survivor

This evening I ended up with a couple free hours from around 6:30-8:30, so I hit the C&R. The water was still high, and stained. I could see trout eating emergers, and some caddis and cahills flyng around and even a couple white flies. I threw a few various nymphs and dries around. To make a long story short, I did catch one brown on a size 14 Blonde Wulff. When I netted it, I notice a wound from a Blue Herron or something? But It survived from that batlle, the battle with me, and was released again for a battle on another day.

All and all a nice evening even if the fishing was slow.........Phil
