Hi Everyone,
Bad news. They did not stock the housy this week and will not until later next week.
A second option would be to all meet at the Zoar Rd. picnic area along the Deerfield River. I know that they have stocked that area the past 3 weeks.
So lets take a vote the next couple of days. I am open to either but would like the opportunity to catch some fish so I vote for the latter.
If everyone just wants to get together and show off some rods and reels I am fine with that and we can still meet at Wahconah.

Henry, I know nothing about either river so whatever folks choose is OK with me. Are there likely to be any carry over fish from last year in the Housey? AgMD

After seeing the weather forcast for 1 to 2 inches of rain tonight and 40 miles an hour wind gusts tomorrow, I am fine with meeting at Wahconah any time after 1pm. I wil have all my toys with me and might even tip back a guinness. We can certainly go down to the river and do some casting and even the picnic outside or inside depending on the weather. We can discuss some future dates and see if we can get some people to the Deerfield, the housy catch and release area and the Chesterfield gorge area of the Westfield river. Kim, I want to make sure you get your moneys worth of that Out of State MA license.

CHANCE OF RAIN 60 PERCENT. .TONIGHT...RAIN. BREEZY WITH THE LOW IN THE LOWER 40S. SOUTHEAST WINDS 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH. CHANCE OF RAIN NEAR 100 PERCENT. .SUNDAY...MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF SHOWERS IN THE MORNING... THEN PARTLY SUNNY IN THE AFTERNOON. BREEZY AND NOT AS COOL WITH THE HIGH IN THE MID 50S. SOUTHWEST WINDS 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH. CHANCE OF RAIN 40 PERCENT
I would guess that any river in the Berkshires will be in roughly the same condition as any other river. Based on no personal experience with the Housey, I say let's do it! Figure on the bread and cheese picnic and if the weather is nice enough we will have a feast. Looks like we might see some rain but the afternoon and evening might not be too bad for this time of the year. If we get rained out -- well that is what spring fishin is all about. Sun. at 1:00 -- Wahconah CC AgMD

I just finished brewing up some "Bergman's" dry fly dope. I'll bring a jug and anyone brings a fishing vest sized bottle, I'll give them some. The vehicle is Naphtha, white gas, so glass bottles are probably best although some plastics might be OK. AgMD

I wasn't worried, I knew he was aiming for you.
Henry, It was excellent. Once again you and the WCC have been most gracious hosts. I thank you. It was nice to see somebody else waving cane. AgMD

Kim and Dean, Thanks for joining me. Great stories and company. Kim thanks for showing me that great looking St. George and some of your cane rods.
To everyone,
Let's keep this board alive. If you are going fishing and would like some company, put it on the board and leave a meeting place and a time. If you have any good pictures of a fishing trip get them on the board. If you have any questions about equipment don't hesitate to ask. I hope to meet more of you in the future.
Tight lines,
Henry

Henry and Kim,
I'm happy to hear that you had a good gathering. I did plan on stopping by and saying hello. But even with the rain, my son still had Babe Ruth Baseball practice, and I started a small project around the house that I wanted to finish. (you know how it goes)
But with FF just about ready to get into full swing, I'll/we'll try to get together and wet a line.
I'm a Housi fan, but plan on fanning out to other rivers and locations.
Tight-lines..........Phil
