sounds fun. I am heading to the Yucatan the end of may for 8 days of fishing with my dad. can't wait! need to start practicing the double haul but it is hard to think about it until the snow leaves the yard. The Konkapot still has snow and ice on the banks at my house. and Friday doesn't sound good

How about the Berkshire Fly fishing group getting together and doing a small two fly tournament either on the Deerfield, Westfield, Hoosic, or Housy sometime in early May?
Dean I got your e-mail. I would love to get more involved with the group, but I run Wahconah Country Club and once golf season starts I don't have alot of spare time and when I do I have 2 girls 4 and 5 that are playing T-ball this year.
I am happy to set-up meetings and run them at Wahconah. Also, the Housy runs right through the golf course so I do get to wet a line throughout the season either before or after work.

One of the reasons for going to this event, is to see how to run an event like this because I was thinking the same thing about having one here at the gorge. Just a thought.

Wildguide i did a poker run for a couple of years for the club . It was a lot of work. Had a lot of fun. Great prizes, food drinks fairview commons sponsored it. Did a lot of advertising trying to get people out. And the same 10 people came out. For each event. I think the last 4 fish outings for the club had the same 5 people. For some reason I'm not sure the answer to get people involved. I first joined to meet new people fish different areas that I wouldn't by myself. So if you come up with anything I would be more than willing to help to try and get it going. Send me your # if you would like to talk about it. I appreciate the offer for help to set up an event deanh. Also I would be interested in meet and greet with the folks at Wahconah Country Club . And yes custom hats & shirts are always a great add on to the gear closet.

Hey guys,
How about an informal meeting at Wahconah Sunday, April 17th at 1pm. I will bring some old bamboo rods and reels and if anyone else wants to bring some that would be great. We could also go down to the Housy river that runs through the golf course which is scheduled to be stocked this week sometime.
Tight lines everyone,
Henry
