Its going to be warmer today but this weekend is going to be cold.
I typically get out for steelhead in mid-March for my first outing of the year but I think I'm going to fish the early opener for inland trout this year just to say I did it.
I may be popping ice out of the guides though.
They ought to be pretty hungry.... I'm looking forward to it.

I won’t wet a line until April at the earliest. Most likely not until May. May even wait until June if the water’s too high for dries….
