6wt gave me a call late yesterday afternoon, and we met up for a Fly fishing outing on the Housi. It started off a little slow, but 6wt caught a nice Rainbow up above to get the evening off to a start. We worked our way down stream hitting our usual spots, with not a lot of action except a few rock bass. Finally, I pulled out 3 Browns with 2 of them being NICE fat size fish, with the other being an average sized runt. I got 1 more missed hit all from the same spot & feeding lane. 6wt caught another brown as well. So all in all, not a bad way to spend a Friday night. Tight-Lines............DRYFLYPHIL Attachments:

6wt,
Great pictures. I like to see what other people are using for rods and reels if you could add those.
What time of year were the Steelhead caught. Ever try the Creeks in Penn.? Had a great trip to Walnut creek in Nov. last year.

If I remember correctly those pics are from a spring time trip. Never fished the creeks in penn although they're all on my list once I figure out how to retire The set up I was using is a 10' 7wt orvis t3 and a orvis mid arbor. Great rod but I've since upgraded to a 10' 7wt zero gravity...better rod

6wt, nice fish and well done. Great pictures!
As of today, no 3wt repaired/replacement rod arrival as of yet. But I've got other fly rods, and plenty of patience.
But on a good note, my recent dry fly order arrived. I ordered more White Wulffs, and also some size 12 Blonde Wulffs. I ordered them this past Monday & they arrived from Oregon today. Pretty quick!
I'm looking forward to drifting a few by Phil's rock & seeing if there are any Fatty's hang'in out.
I was looking at several Sage model rods as well as other MFG's rods at Cabelas bargain cave today during lunch. But that's what I really need is another fly rod like I need a hole in my head.
Anyway, tight-lines all.............DRYFLYPHIL
